So-called Reverse Racism
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see to try to express the idea that systemic racism as a legacy of historic slavery in the US is the proliferation of IDEAS about who and what Black Americans are to America in the minds of so-called Whites.
I talk some on this blog about the fact that between the Census being self reported data, the enormous pressure to pass for White and the practice of actively "White washing" your racial identity and not counting as significant being a small percentage of some non-white ethnicity -- unless it's Black -- most likely, well over half of "White Americans" are mixed race.
We have a one drop rule and you can't wash off Black because Blacks are thought of as slaves or the descendants of slaves even if they are recent immigrants to the US from Africa and their ancestors were never slaves in the historic US.
Meanwhile, they tried to breed the injun out of them because the culture etc of Native Americans is unimportant and their racial identity is viewed as being like a flavor of dog breed to White European Colonizers.
Never mind we STOLE the ideas behind the American Experiment of democracy and equality for all FROM the Haudenosaunee.
Treating Native Americans like varieties of dog breeds actively disavows that theft because memetically, we are promoting the idea that Native Americans don't really have developed culture of any sort nor advanced ideas. We paint a picture at every turn of them being like animals who don't have any of the things that make White Europeans "human."
We describe them as savages. We claim that our ignorance of their language and culture and ideologies is proof they simply have no such thing, and LA LA LA NOT listening to the fact that many American place names and much of American cuisine is the bastard child of Native cultures and the cultures of European invaders while European invaders take all the credit and pretend the only thing we took from them is their land and that somehow makes it okay because we do the same thing to other wild animals we drive off the lands we wish to domesticate and we've driven a lot of those animals to extinction or the brink of extinction as well.
The problem with "reverse racism" where you hate White people back and decide without getting to know any of them that they are defined entirely by the color of their skin and not the contents of their hearts and minds is that you actively alienate potential allies and gatekeep out people who could help you.
You agree with the racists who other you that you and Whites have NOTHING on common and aren't both human and aren't individuals and aren't something more than the flesh we can readily see. You actively aid and abet your oppressors by going along with being unthinking animals with no real intelligence.
Is skepticism warranted? Absolutely.
Should you want something more from a White person than superficial claims they are not racist or whatever? Absolutely.
Is it reasonable to assume they probably have subconscious bias they aren't aware of which is likely to be a problem for you? Absolutely.
But you don't tear down walls standing between you and a better life by hating on people who don't agree with what's been done to you because of the color of their skin.
And then insisting that if they really cared about you and your plight or were really allies, they would try to help you anyway while you behave abusively to them.
That's not what allies means. And it's not a way to prove you are humans, not some variety of dog, and entitled to participate fully in society and own property and have rights etc.
Sorry you have baggage. Well meaning White people alive today were also born into this mess and inherited it exactly like you and hating on them today, in the here and now, doesn't resolve the problem.
No, I'm not suggesting you kiss their butts or suck up to them and beg for crumbs from members of the overlord race. If victim or victimizer are the only options you can imagine, you need to work on that.

I spent some time trying to identify the song in question. Copilot tells me it's No Rain by Blind Melon but pulling up lyrics for it and watching multiple videos of it fails to turn up any evidence this is true and it doesn't match my memory of the sound involved. I searched again and Copilot tells me basically "You already asked that question, dummy. Here's the same answer."
